CoD4 for November 9th Release News

The news was leaked at a press event, although Activision won't confirm the date...


According to reports from eurogamer.net, Activision plan to release the eagerly anticipated Call of Duty 4 on November 9th. The news comes from comments made by a Senior Brand Manager at a press event attended by eurogamer last week, although Activision UK still maintain a more general winter release.

There will be drastic changes for the CoD series in its upcoming fourth tour of duty. The Trademark Second World War battle grounds of previous titles will be replaced by theatres of modern warfare. The original developers Infinity Ward are back after somewhat of a sabbatical for CoD3, where developer responsibilities were in the hands of Treyarch.

CoD4 will initially be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Because Halo players cant handle the amount of people that have dropped off to play Cod4, i like Halo Just not as much as I like COD4, Killing beasties is ok but...gets a bit....well....dull

The patch added new features as well as important hosting changes. It wasn't just issues, it was making the game better. Maybe the PS3 will get something similar down the line too.

Neither Halo 3 or COD 4 are based on anything true to life at all. Great to see this patch now out though. Hopefully it'll help those sniper rifles especially, because I've found them to be SO hit and miss on that game. Also looking forward to seeing... [ Read full comment... ]
