CoD4 Map Pack Clogs Up Live News

Users have experienced problems on Xbox Live while attempting to download the new CoD4 map pack...
Due to the demand for the new Call of Duty 4 map packs on Xbox Live, many gamers experienced problems and error messages while attempting to download the DLC as it became available last Friday.
This news comes from Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, who made fans aware of the problem on the IAMfourzerotwo dev blog. According to Bowling, "It seems that the rush of people attempting to download the new Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty 4 . . . has caused some users currently attempting to download the maps to receive the message: 'Can't retrieve information from XBOX LIVE, please try again later. Status Code: 8015000a'"
However, these problems gradually died down over the weekend as the excessive demand eventually receded. Bowling explains:
"Just a heads up that it looks like Marketplace is back on its feet and running as normal. You should have no problem buying or redeeming the new Variety Map Pack. If you tried yesterday when it was down and received an Invalid Code error, be sure to retry today with the same code."
Bowling also provided further details on when the PlayStation 3 map pack will become avilable on PSN. "Meanwhile, we've been preparing for the launch of the new maps on the PS3 as well via PSN," he explained. "So we should have details on that in the near future (hopefully next week)."
Not to worry PC gamers, Infinity Ward hasn't forgotten you. It appears that the development team is clearing up the internal quality assurance on the latest PC patch, while there was also some information on when the Variety Map Pack will become available:
"Details are being finalized as to getting the map pack to the PC users as well. I can't speak specifics just yet as everything is being cemented now, but it sounds like good news."
