Sports Interactive’s football management title “harms Chinese sovereignty and territorial integrity”...
Highly sensitive over issues such as national sovereignty, it has today emerged that Chinese authorities have banned Sport Interactiveâs Football Manager (Soccer Manager) across the region, because the game classifies Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Tibet as separate countries.
A statement issued to the Xinhua news agency claims, âThe game contains content that harmed China's sovereignty and territorial integrity and violated Chinese lawâ
Any website offering the game for download can (and likey will) be punished with a fine up to $1,210; whilst popular CyberCafeâs that failed to prevent players from downloading, installing or playing the game are liable to a fine of $1,815.
