Eidos announce Championship Manager Online for the PC, which launches in January 2005...

Eidos today revealed an addition to the famous Championship Manager series. Championship Manager Online lets players pick a club from one of the six national leagues. The league consists of England, Scotland, Italy, Spain, Germany and France. The game will then be split into worlds so that there is only one certain team and one player in one league. Example there will only be one Arsenal in a league and there will only be one Thierry Henry.

The game will receive regular updates which include new leagues. Players also have the chance to make a buddy league. This means online certain players will be able to play in that league, choose wisely.

Whilst the official website up and running now, the game will require a subscription. The European Managing Director Jonathan Kemp said "Championship Manager Online is the latest part of our strategy of making the Championship Manager brand a constant part of every football fans life. Offering an online version will help attract new fans to the series as well as provide existing fans the opportunity to test their managerial skills against real-life opposition to see who the real Championship Manager is."

Championship Manager Online is set to launch in January 2005.

We'll bring you more information soon.
