Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is confirmed for PSP by Konami...

Konami has confirmed the development of Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for PSP. Heading for a release in Europe during the fourth quarter of 2007, The Dracula X Chronicles is an update to Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, which debuted on PC Engine exclusively in Japan back in 1993.

Set towards the end of the eighteenth century, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles follows the adventure of Richter Belmont, as he battles the legendary Count to rescue his beloved Annette. Re-developed with 3D graphics within a traditional side-scrolling gameworld, The Dracula X Chronicles features new character designs by Castlevania artist Ayumi Kojima.

"Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is one of the greatest games never to see a proper release in Europe - until now," commented Christopher Heck, European Brand Manager, Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles will let players experience this incredible game for the first time on the PSP, while updating its timeless gameplay with new 3D graphics that bring this integral part of the ongoing Castlevania saga to life."
