Castlevania PS2 Confirmed! News

Konami confirm what everybody already knew - but at least its good news...
Although itās not exactly been a closely guarded secret that a new Castlevania title is in the works; Konami today officially confirmed the development of the Playstation2 title, scheduled for release sometime in Q3 2003.
Thankfully development duties have fallen to the legendary Koji Igareshi, whose talented team gave us the delightful PSOne adaptation ā“ Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, along with the two GBA titles Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance and the forthcoming Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.
Igareshi-san promises to re-invent the series with this title, eaasing fears that this will turn out like the disastrous foray onto the Nintendo 64! Whisperings from Japan suggest that the team will buck the current trend and stay with the series 2D roots (weāre certainly hoping so), however you can expect a brilliant orchestrated soundtrack and intense action if the previous titles are anything to go by.
Konami have confirmed that the title will make its first ever appearance at E3 this year; May just canāt come quick enough!!!
