Confirmation of yet another Resident Evil remake, this time taking full advantage of the touch-screen...
Capcom taking its Resident Evil franchise to the Nintendo DS has been a widely known secret for the last couple of months, although details on the title have varied from utilising a similar control/camera setup to Resident Evil 4 while others suggest a system to take full advantage of the DS unique capabilities.
However the speculation can now end as today Capcom officially took the wraps from Resident Evil Deadly Silence. A remake of the title which launched the franchise and promptly found itself on the GameCube as well, Deadly Silence differs however with its full 3D graphics offering the ability to switch seamlessly to a first-person perspective when attacking with the knife.
The touch-screen will also be utilised to solve puzzles, display a map of the manor and various other functions such as wiping the screen clean from blood splatter after a particularly gruesome shot.
Finally Wi-Fi connectivity has been mooted, although itās not entirely sure what form this will take; TVG will have further coverage of Resident Evil Deadly Silence soonā¦
