Capcom pick up Riding Spirits II from Spike Interactive...
Capcom today announced that it has picked up the publishing rights to Spike Interactive âRiding Spirits IIâ and âWay of the Samurai 2â across all PAL territories during Q1 2004.
âRiding Spirits IIâ is claimed to be a highly realistic motorcycle simulator along the same lines as the âMotoGPâ series.
The game features a wide range of motorcycles from famous European manufacturers such as Ducatti, Aprilla, Triumph and BMW in addition to top models from Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki; in total âRiding Spirits IIâ boasts an impressive 330 different bikes to get to grips with.
The bikes can be raced in 40 different categories around 15 courses from across the globe, including the world-renown Suzuka and Twin Link Motegi circuits.
The game features a variety of gameplay modes; in RS Mode players must compete in races to gain points, purchase of new bikes and progress through the ranks, whereas the Arcade Mode allows players to quickly get set up and start racing.
In addition the game introduces two new gameplay modes; the 100 Battle Mode places a variety of challenges to the players such as winning a race by a margin greater then 10 seconds or reaching a target speed before your adversary.
âRiding Spirits IIâ also introduces Motard Racing Mode, where riders compete on circuits with both tarmac and off-road sections. The mix of surfaces forces gamers to learn how to slide or drift their machines around the off-road corners and think carefully about the bike set-up.
âRiding Spirits IIâ is scheduled for release in March 2004; weâll have more information soon.
