Net sales, operating and net income all up on last year for the Japanese developer/publisher...
Citing a recovering Japanese economy during the third quarter ending December 31st 2005, Capcom today posted improved net sales, operating income and a huge increase of net income compared to the same period last year.
The resulting consolidated performance saw net sales rise 12.8% to 48 billion yen (£233 million); operating income took an increase of 23.1% to 4.8 billion yen (£23 million), whilst net income witnessed a 418% increase to 7 billion yen (£34 million).
Capcom attributed the success largely to the expansion of the market by the handhelds, along with elaborate sales promotions, developing community-based facilities, and strengthening management through organisational reforms.
