Capcom Releases End Of Year Financial Report News

Capcom finally announces its full financial results with net sales improving on the year...
Capcom have today released its financial details for the fiscal year ending March 31st 2006. Net Sales during the year saw a slight rise of 6.6% on 2005's figures, from ¥65.9 billion (£314.2 million) to ¥70.3 billion (£335.2 million), whilst Operating Income dropped by 15.1% on the year from ¥7.8 billion (£37.2 million) in 2005 to ¥6.6 billion (£31.5 million). 2005's figures for Operating Income improved massively compared to 2004 with a percentage increase over 450%. Net income for Capcom jumped by 91.6% over the course of the year from ¥3.6 billion (£17.2 million) to ¥6.9 billion (£32.9 million).
Capcom also released its forecasts for the year ahead, with the first six months of the year to September 30th expected Net Sales of ¥25.6 billion (£122.1 million) and an end of year figure of ¥68.4 billion (£326.2 million). Net Income for the same periods is expected to reach ¥750 million (£3.6 million) by the end of September and ¥3.9 billion (£18.6 million) at the end of the year.
The company also confirmed some restructuring, which has seen its mobile division break from the amalgamated 'Other Businesses' sector, and reconfirmed the dissolution of Capcom Eurosoft and Studio 8.
