Gearing up for the next-gen return of Bionic Commando, Capcom today announced plans to bring a makeover of the classic 8-bit title to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC this spring.
Heralding a return to the intense 2D side-scrolling action that lit up the NES twenty years ago, Bionic Commando Rearmed features updated visuals, new options, online rankings, a reworked musical score and the addition of a two-player co-op mode.
In addition, the game will hook up with the forthcoming release of Bionic Commado to unlock extra content and provide further insights into the characters and backstory.
"The release of Bionic Commando Rearmed allows us to deliver to fans of the original game a remake they have been clamouring for, whilst also introducing the series to a whole new audience," commented Ben Judd, Producer of both the Bionic Commando projects. "And with GRIN taking care of development we can ensure that there is real consistency across both the Bionic Commando titles.
