Capcom confirm plans to stop dial-up support for its older titles…
Capcom has recently confirmed plans to end dial-up support for its older titles in Japan. Titles that make use of the service include Capcom Vs SNK 2 (PS2, DC), Marvel Vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (PS2), Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs Zeon (PS2, DC) and finally Auto Modellista (PS2).
Service for these titles will stop from August 2nd 2004, although dial-up support will still feature for Auto Modellista US Tuned and Mobile Suit Gundam Z: AEUG vs Titans.
The emergence of broadband is cited as the reason behind the decision, as future titles and recent online releases from the Japanese publisher feature exclusive support for BB.
