Capcom target the Western market with new President announcement…
Capcom has today announced the appointment of Hiroshi Tobisawa as President of Capcom USA and Capcom Eurosoft, whilst Bari Abdul has been instated as COO of Capcom USA.
Itās claimed the moves have been made to improve activities between the different territories, whilst also crucially to intensify the development of successful products for Europe and America. Capcom have been hit hard this year with a number of critically acclaimed titles that have suffered at the market, naturally Capcom will be hoping to address this with the development of titles more predominantly focussed towards the Western market.
"I have known Hiroshi Tobisawa for many years and have enormous respect for his management abilities so it is with great honour that I make this appointment," said Kenzo Tsujimoto, Chairman and President of Capcom. "His knowledge of the operations in our Japan office can only strengthen the U.S. and European operations and this exchange of communication can only benefit Capcom. I look forward to a very long and successful relationship with him."
