Capcom Announce Viewtiful Joe News

We’re not exactly sure what this game is about, but it sure sounds cool.
During the recent Capcom press event, the Japanese publisher officially announced a new action title for the GameCube.
Viewtiful Joe pits players in what is claimed to be a âbeautifulâ side-scroller. Lead director, Hideki Kamiya, who has previously worked on the Resident Evil series and Devil May Cry, cryptically describes the game:
âThis is a powerful yet beautifully side-scrolling action game is like nothing youâve ever seen before. It stars a superhero. A superhero must not only be brave and strong, but he must fight his foe with beautiful style. In âVIEWTIFUL JOEâ you must fight beautifully. No wait. I should say, when you fight, your moves naturally become beautiful! This game will give you a taste of what itâs like to be a true Superhero.
Let me give you a brief explanation of this game so you get a better feel for it. For example, if you activate the âSLOWâ feature to bash the hell out of the enemy, the enemy will go flying all the way across the screen. Then if you really want to get cookinâ, then activate the âZOOM INâ feature and what do you know, a simple jab will turn into a ravaging lethal blow.â
Hmmm glad that clears up things then, however it certainly sounds intriguing and should take a nod to the golden age of gaming.
