Capcom Announce Capcom Fighting Evolution News

Merging the characters from five of the most popular Capcom fighters; this is all you need...

As a Capcom fighting nut this comes a close second to yesterdayâs The Legend of Zelda announcement, as Capcom today confirmed intentions to draw characters from its most popular fighters into one title currently in development for the Playstation2 and Xbox.

Capcom Fighting Evolution brings characters from five of its most popular fighting titles of the past, including Streetfighter II, DarkStalkers, Streetfighter III, Red earth and Streetfighter Alpha.

As with the Streetfighter Anniversary title, each character maintains their style and move lists from their respective titles, placing emphasis on the correct strategies to emerge victorious.

The game will benefit from Vs style two-on-two bouts, allowing players to choose their character as the fight develops, pitting the correct competitor against your opponent based on the strengths of the fighting systems being the key to success.

Thankfully thereâs none of this âEOâ rubbish to worry about as the game will incorporate the classic six-button control system, whilst the promise of Xbox Live! compatibility should make this a must-have for any deserving Capcom nut.

Capcom Fighting Evolution is scheduled for a European release in winter 2004; weâll have lots more on the title soon.
