Capcom today confirmed the development of the latest title in their popular RPG series, Breath of Fire. Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter is currently in development for the Playstation2 and focuses on the adventures of the main protagonist Ryu. Set in an underground city, Ryu works for a government organisation as a Ranger to battle against an opposing force named Trinity.
Each character in the game has a name and a citizen id (Ryu = 1 / 8192), the id also indicates the characters hidden strength attributes.
Mixing 3D polygons and cell-shading Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter certainly looks impressive, even from these first screens.
Thereās been no confirmation of a Western release of yet, weāve had to make do with a limited run in the West seeing a couple of PSOne and GameBoy Advance titles release, however weāve got our fingers crossed.
