US report confirms that the rumoured announcement will be a trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare...


Confirming initial reports from over a year ago and recent suggestions that a major Call of Duty announcement would be issued this Saturday, IGN today revealed that it will take the form of a trailer making its debut at 10:00 PST (18:00 GMT) during the NFL draft on ESPN.

No further details on the title have been revealed at this stage, although JoyStiq's early glimpse suggests that the series creator, Infinity Ward, will be back on-board after TreyArch and Pi Studios co-operated on last year's Call of Duty 3. Allegedly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will focus on troops from the U.S Army, U.S Marines, and British SAS conflict against terrorists loyal to a Middle-East dictator, with locations including the North Atlantic ocean, secret terrorist cells in London, and the urban streets of Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

After causing controversy over the decision not to release a PC version of Call of Duty 3, we'd expect this title to reverse the decision provided that Infinity Ward are behind the game.

Because Halo players cant handle the amount of people that have dropped off to play Cod4, i like Halo Just not as much as I like COD4, Killing beasties is ok but...gets a bit....well....dull

The patch added new features as well as important hosting changes. It wasn't just issues, it was making the game better. Maybe the PS3 will get something similar down the line too.

Neither Halo 3 or COD 4 are based on anything true to life at all. Great to see this patch now out though. Hopefully it'll help those sniper rifles especially, because I've found them to be SO hit and miss on that game. Also looking forward to seeing... [ Read full comment... ]
