Burnout Paradise DLC To Add Freeburn Modes News

Stunt Run, Road Rage, and Marked Man modes will be added to Freeburn in the next Paradise update...


The next Burnout Paradise update, version 1.3 (codenamed Cagney), will be the most significant yet, adding dedicated Stunt Run, Road Rage, and Marked Man modes to Paradise's Freeburn offerings.

There's no ETA on the DLC yet, but up until now the game's online offerings have been limited to Showtime and Road Rules records in Freeburn, multiplayer Challenges, and online Race events. Stunt Run, Road Rage, and Marked Man modes are currently resigned to the single-player game.

This news comes from the latest edition of Criterion's Crash FM Podcast, where the developers also spoke of around 40 new online Challenges (a rough and entirely unconfirmed number at this point) that will be coming with the update. These will include specific timed Challenges where players will have to co-operatively find a jump on the map, or pick-off a certain amount of billboards against the clock.

Other fixes with the update will change the current ranked Race event setup. Custom routes will be stripped from ranked Races to stop hosts from luring opponents into Races that only they have learnt. Additionally, ranked Races will be limited to one Race per event.

The new Freeburn Stunt Run mode has been confirmed for 8 players online at this point.

now you can unless you own a 360, the cagney update is now online ready for download in the playstation store (360 owners have to wait another 3 weeks cause criterion games are too lazy to sort out the minor bugs on the 360 version)

I love crusing online, but too many d*cks doing takedowns, i just want to cruise with people ok!
And cant wait to do marked man and road rage online, maybe stunt run.

I don't have any older burnout games, but this one is by far the best racing game I've ever played. There is so much to explore it looks awesome there are 75 cars in the game. So much better than Motostorm by many factors of 10. My current favorite ... [ Read full comment... ]

the problem is its now a franchise of EA as EA also wants gta4 and midnight club aswell looks like all the best games will eventually get eaten up by EA.

I'm a casual gamer who loved the Burnout series. I could go in, place a few races, crash more than a few cars, and leave a happy camper. It worked out frustration and stress like nothing else. No longer. This new game is a complete detraction fro... [ Read full comment... ]
