We are now coming up to a month since Halo 2 was unleashed upon the world, and the last couple of days have seen developers Bungie updating and tweaking the game’s awesome Live! content.

One of the major amendments has been the inclusion of Team Slayer in the Matchmaking Games, so now teams and clans can partake in ranked team deathmatches. Last night TVG played a couple of these ranked Team Slayer matches, and we have to say that this addition really pushes the exhilaration of Halo 2 on Live! to new heights – cheers Bungie!

The update also included the addition of Rumble Training, which is an unranked option where up to eight players, including guests, can battle it out with all of the options that Rumble matches offer.

Further additions to the Matchmaking games include a re-weighting of the game types, so you won’t find yourself playing Capture the Flag on Zanzibar for rounds on end!

Amendments to the Clan Matches have also been made, including parties as small as 5 on the Big Clan Matches, and a correction that prevents overly imbalanced matches to occur, i.e. 6 vs 8.

Big Team Matches of up to 8 players are now available too, but Bungie do warn that it may take some time for another 8 gamers to be found and connected. Finally, as a bonus, Bungie have also increased the length of time that the rounds last for, perfect for extended Halo 2 blood baths!
