Halo 2’s June 2005 downloadable content revealed by Bungie...
Just over two weeks since Bungie released the first set of Halo 2 maps over Xbox Live the company has revealed some of the details surrounding the remaining five maps that will become available to download (and buy via the retails update) at the end of June 2005.
The five maps are as follows:
Relic
Set on what Bungie describes as a âsandy isletâ, Relic takes places on Delta Halo and features a Forerunner structure than running along the course of the map. One of the key features of Relic is that it contains a teleport that has to be unlocked before it can be used, which will probably ensure that players make many a mad dash across the terrain.
Backwash
Set in a misty swamp on Delta Halo, Backwash includes Penitent Tangent humming around the environment as well as a multitude of trees that provide players with plenty of cover and a generator that according to Bungie ââ¦is a great place to get ambushed with a shotgun.â
Terminal
The addition of a fast moving train hurtling through the map is sure to make many a Master Chief look both ways before crossing from one side of Terminal to the other. Large and asymmetrical with strong vehicle support, Bungie comments that Terminal is a very flexible map that can be used on many game types.
Gemini
Full of teleports that is sure to perplex gamers during Capture the Flag games, Gemini is set on High Charity and features a huge Prophet statue.
Elongation
The final map is called Elongation and is a remake of the map âLongestâ and is set in a space ship orbiting Earth. The map includes two conveyor belts running along its spine â“ apparently the views are magnificent!
As with the first four maps, expect images from each of these future locations to appear in the coming weeks â“ weâll have more soon...
