Extra in-game content on Marketplace available ahead of Western launch...
Microsoft has today released downloadable content on Xbox Live Marketplace for Blue Dragon, three weeks before the game has even been released in Europe and America. The extra content, called Shuffle Dungeon, is available for 400 Microsoft points in all regions except Japan (the extra content has been available in Japan since the end of April for only 300 Microsoft points).
The new content includes the Shuffle Dungeon itself (which mysteriously changes each time you enter it), as well as 30 new items, 10 new bosses and more powerful monsters.
Blue Dragon has been available in Japan since last December, and is due for release in Europe and America at the end of the month. Produced by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the legendary Final Fantasy series, Blue Dragon is the first title to emerge from conceptual studio Mistwalker. The studio is currently developing a second exclusive title for Xbox 360, Lost Odyssey, which is due out in Japan and North America before the end of the year - European gamers have to wait until early 2008.
TVG recently spoke with Sakaguchi-san about Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, which you can read by following the link.
