Blizzard Unveils BlizzCon 2008 News

Beyond the cosplay could we actually see Diablo 3 making an appearance...

Blizzard Entertainment today confirmed the third BlizzCon gaming convention, scheduled to take place between October 10th and 11th at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

A celebration of the community and all things Blizzard, early talk suggests the game could usher in the unveiling of the much-rumoured Diablo 3, along with the latest look at StarCraft 2, and of course a little game going by the name of WoW.

"Whenever we've been able to meet and interact with Blizzard gamers from around the world, it's been a great experience for us," stated Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're looking forward to seeing even more of our players at this year's BlizzCon and delivering another entertaining and informative event for them."

Tickets are due to go on sale in the next few weeks for $100 with plenty of competitions, cosplay contests, panel debates, and everything else a Blizzard fanatic could possibly wish for.

Well damm about time,i been playin diablo 2 for 4 seaons now online and yey finnaly a d3... i was over the bots on d2 on ladder anyways... the might Legion of Angels may rise again in d3... =D

If Diablo 3 is even similar to Diablo 1 and 2, it's going to be freaking awesome. WoW was/is nothing more than a Diablo clone in the first place. . .

World of warcraft is going to keep on going, blizzard is making loads of money, and can keep releasing expansions, no game will never meet the standards of WoW
