Blizzard Confirms Second WoW Expansion News

By Jon Wilcox on 03/08/2007 After a week of speculation, Wrath of the Lich King is announced as the follow up to The Burning Crusade...

Following a flurry of speculation, Blizzard Entertainment has today confirmed the development of a second expansion pack to the nine million subscriber-strong MMO, World of Warcraft.

Revealing the new pack, Wrath of the Lich King, at a conference held at the 2007 BlizzCon in Anaheim, California, Blizzard announced some of the features being added into the title including a level cap rise to Level 80, hundreds of new quests, and the polar continent of Northrend. Wrath of the Lich King will also include the first Hero Class - the Death Knight - as well as a new 'Inscription' profession, new arenas, Siege warfare (and destructible buildings), battlegrounds, and raids.

"This expansion will add some of the most infamous characters and settings from the Warcraft universe to World of Warcraft," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "In addition to new story content, Wrath of the Lich King will introduce a number of features specifically requested by players over the past couple of years. We're looking forward to sharing further details with everyone as development progresses."

No word on when the expansion will be released, though attendees at the BlizzCon 2007 are able to get their hands on a restricted region of Northrend, the Howling Fjords.

If u want to buy this, first u need the game n the first expansion pack (wish is about 30-40 quid) then u gotta buy a game card or get a subscription (8-10 quid a month). n then this (about £20). thats already about £70 for a new player to buy this, all they need and a month subscription. its a grind-fest. It gets so boring after awhile. WoW > Xbox live.
