Warning! This game contains scenes of EXPLICIT gore and violence. YES Biohazard (Resident Evil) returns on GameCube!

Today TVG received the first pictures of the latest Biohazard (Resident Evil) game. However it may come to a shock to all of you that it isn't actually a brand new game but a re-make of the original that hit the PlayStation back in 1996.

The game is set for a Spring release next year in Japan (22/03/2002) and should appeal to many people with its fantastic looking visuals and chilling storyline.

Capcom have promised that the game will be improved in all manners and we should expect some nice changes when the final version is released.

Alongside Resident Evil, all of the sequels will be getting a Gamecube exclusive remake. Whilst it's rumoured that number 4 will also be a GameCube exclusive. Pointing towards the whole franchise moving exclusively over to Nintendo.

To recap the following titles will be making a GameCube appearance:

- Resident Evil 0

- Resident Evil

- Resident Evil 2

- Resident Evil 3: Biohazard

- Resident Evil: Code Veronica

- Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil creator, Shinji Mikami had this to say on the alliance:

"Everyone must be surprised because [the Biohazard series is now] on the GameCube, but I have a clear and strong opinion about being able to enjoy all of the Biohazard games on one system. Therefore the series will be GameCube exclusive.

"From now on, games aren't limited to graphics only -- a balance must be reached between fun gameplay and graphic enjoyment. I feel if it isn't like this, the media itself will be endangered. Among game systems focused on graphics, we're aiming to show Nintendo's philosophy of 'fun games'."

Whether this means the whole franchise is now a Nintendo exclusive or just the remakes is currently unknown.

We will have more screens and video's to follow shortly.
