Ask yourself a few questions then take a look at our brand spanking new media for this ambitiously epic title from Ubi Soft.
What would you do if you learned that everything you knew was a lie?
What would you if you were hired to uncover a government conspiracy?
What would you do if you emerged as the last hope for saving humankind?
These are questions that Ubi Soft have asked, here's this writer's answer;
The first thing is to find out all you can, then try to tell everyone what is going on, but you need ways to do that, and there are all sorts of ways, comedy, film, music, newspapers, internet and even cunning videogames that make nice analogies to things in the real world. Then there's collating the real information and facts about the people, organisations and knowing about what the government has really been up to, not what they tell you, then letting people know in simple terms backed up with facts.
Back to the game.
The multi-format multi-genre Beyond Good and Evil is looking impressive, blending lots of game styles together in an epic adventure. The guy heading the project is Michel Ancel the creator of Rayman. ?Beyond Good and Evil? appears to be his latest project having trusted Rayman to other members of the Ubi development team; the one that you have in your mind for ages and work hard at so that you can one day make it, the attention to detail shows. The plot is also very interesting, rather than paraphrase or embellish, we'll give it to you straight from the horse?s mouth:
"The vast, peaceful planet of Hyllis has fallen under siege by a relentless alien race. After a desperate struggle to defend her island, a Hyllian named Jade collapses in exhaustion - only to be tormented by disturbing visions. Despite public assurances that the planet has been secured, Jade begins to suspect that there's more to these invasions than the government has disclosed. When a rebel organization reinforces her doubts, Jade begins a harrowing journey to get to the core of the conspiracy.
Armed with her camera, aikido staff, and resolute investigative skills, Jade sets out to expose the truth and to liberate the minds of her deceived people. Pushed to the very edge of her physical and spiritual will, she soon discovers that even these limits are not what they seem ... Her quest for the truth knows no bounds."
A quest for the truth that knows no bounds; sounds good, so long as it's got big explosions and many exciting things along the way mind you...
