Word that Battlefield fans will shortly get a slice of the action...
It seems as though EA and DICE have learnt their lesson when it comes to the Battlefield series and the problems usually associated shortly after launch. According to an official response located in this forum, both parties will host an open-beta test in August ahead of the series foray into the future in Battlefield 2142.
Hopefully this will provide the test data DICE need to ensure Battlefield 2142 doesn't suffer from the same release bugs that thwarted Battlefield 2 to some extent, where patches resolved earlier patches and even to this day EA and DICE are working on addressing further bugs.
