Former SEGA man behind REZ and the forthcoming Luminees and Meteos announces partnership with Bandai...

Bandai have recently announced the formation of a new studio within Japan entitled QB; now you may be wandering why the developer behind such popular Japanese titles such as the Dragon Ball Z series and Gundam Seed has anything to interest you â“ well the new venture is headed by none other then the father of REZ Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

Naturally both of the titles that he is currently working on (Luminees and Meteos) will be thrown out under the new QB label, with the studioâs intention to develop games for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP that anybody can enjoy.

The main characteristics of QB titles will be based heavily on simplicity, suggesting that all games will be easy enough to play without reading a manual; they will always introduce fresh ideas; and further the convergence of various entertainment mediums.

Luminees is scheduled for a Japanese release for the PSP on December 12th, followed by the Nintendo DS release of Meteos in Japan on February 24th 2005; sadly neither game has yet to be confirmed for Europe, however weâll have an update soon.
