Microsoft`s developer loving CEO speaks as the arrival of Xbox 360 looms...
Microsoft CEO Steve âDevelopers, developers, developersâ Ballmer has spoken about the build up towards the launch of Xbox 360 at a Japanese press conference held to celebrate 20 years of Microsoft in the Land of the Rising Sun.
"We have very strong momentum, particularly in the northern parts of Europe, United States, Australia ... I know for sure, 100 percent, we will do much much better in Japan than we did with Xbox 1â¦Given the excitement and enthusiasm from many of the game developing companies here in Japan, I expect us to do quite well," commented Mr Ballmer.
The Xbox 1âs dismal performance in Japan is well known with Microsoft pinning hopes on a system redesign and software support developed to appeal to the Japanese gamer. The news comes just a day after Microsoft announced only a dozen titles backwards compatible with the next-generation console, which is set to hit Japanese shores on December 10th.
