Days after a brief glimpse at what Microsoft had in store, Major Nelson confirms the December update...


Yes, it really is true - Pyronauts and Fahrenheit (or Indigo Pearl for all you North Americans out there) are now playable on Xbox 360.

A few days ago, Microsoft briefly updated the Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility list on the Xbox UK website, only to retract it after a few minutes. Despite this, names such as Pyronauts, Fahrenheit, Shenmue II, and Ultimate Spider-Man were still jotted down from the list of new additions and updates.

Today via Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb comes confirmation that the Backwards Compatibility list is now live, at least on the Xbox US website - hopefully this means that us Europeans will still be able enjoy some of the latest additions from today.

oh yeah just for the record the chip intel are working on is a 16 core chip possibly even going as far as a 32 core either way the next xbox will have all the features of the ps3 and more (though xbox live still wont be free i dont have a problem wit... [ Read full comment... ]
