Turok is an epic, story-driven first person shooter set on a dark, mysterious planet in the future. The player will take on the role of Joseph Turok, a former black ops commando, now part of an elite special forces squad, known as Whiskey Company, which is on a mission to take down Roland Kane and his army, the Mendel-Gruman Corporation. As Whiskey Company's ship approaches the planet inhabited by Mendel-Gruman, the ship is shot down.

BVG The Latest Unreal Engine 3 Licensee News

Next-gen Turok set to be the first title to benefit from Buena Vista's new agreement with Epic...

Buena Vista Games has today announced that itâs licensed Unreal Engine 3 from Epic Games for development of titles for the next-generation consoles. The statement confirms that the first next-gen title to utilise the UE3 is the resurrection of Turok, currently in development at BVGâs Propaganda Games Studios in Canada.

Announcing the deal, Michael Ryder, Vice President of Worldwide Production, Buena Vista Games said, âWe have ambitious goals for the future and a strategy to enhance Buena Vista Games' position as a major force in interactive entertainment. BVG's intellectual properties, combined with Epic's leadership in underlying technology, ensures the best game content for consumersâ¦Licensing Unreal Engine 3 is a strategic move to provide cost-effective and timely delivery of new content, allowing our development teams to leverage the enormous capabilities of emerging next-generation systems."

Mark Rein, Vice President and Co-Founder of Epic Games, said, "BVG has some awesome IP to work with and we feel privileged to contribute to its success. It's great to be working with the Propaganda Games team, an amazingly talented group of people, and with a management team that appreciates the importance of providing its teams with the best tools and technology to help them deliver. We have no doubt that BVG will be one of the big success stories of the next generation."

The BVG deal for Unreal Engine 3 is the latest to be agreed by Epic Games following last weekâs announcement from Gearbox Software, VU Games, NC Soft, Sony, and Silicon Knights amongst other developers/publishers.

I thought this was one of the worst games I ahve ever had the misfortune of playing.

True the graphics are good and nice, but beyond that the game is really iritating.
