Kingdom Hearts II follows Sora, Donald and Goofy on their continuing quest, following the events of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Sora and friends are joined by a vibrant new cast of characters. Together, they will encounter countless dangers in worlds both familiar and new. The game features more than 100 Disney characters, including the new additions of Chicken Little, Stitch from Lilo and Stitch and one of Disney's favourite villains, Pete.

Autumn Release For Kingdom Hearts II News

Square-Enix confirms that PAL regions won't get Sora's new adventure until Autumn 2006...


Square-Enix has today confirmed an Autumn 2006 release for Kingdom Hearts 2, which will be exclusive on PlayStation2. The game, which follows the adventures of Final Fantasy's Sora as he meets up with over 100 characters from the Disney franchises, is set to visit a number of new areas including some from Pirates of the Caribbean, Tron, and The Nightmare Before Christmas and continues from the events of the first title.

John Yamamoto, President and CEO comments: "From Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Willie to Pirates of the Caribbean and FINAL FANTASY, both Disney and Square Enix boast characters with worldwide recognition. KINGDOM HEARTS II combines the best of these worlds in a stunning game that will appeal to all gamers.

"KINGDOM HEARTS II is an exciting adventure with strong characters in unique settings," said Thierry Braille, Vice President for Buena Vista Games Europe. "We are excited to bring a sequel with an interactive and entertaining experience to fans of all ages."
