Saint Seiya: The Hades takes places as the Specters, thanks to the awakening of Hades, begin to claim back their powers after being restrained for 243 years by Athena's might. It is your destiny to do battle with the supreme commander of Hell and his armies to overcome the impending devastation. The story is taken directly from the highly respected manga of the same name recently been made into an anime television series and hailed by many fans as the greatest in the Saint Seiya saga

Atari To Unleash Hades In Europe News

Namco Bandai's adaptation of Saint Seiya: The Hades to be distributed across Europe by Atari...

Atari has today confirmed that it's to distribute Namco Bandai's PlayStation2 adaptation of the manga Saint Seiya: The Hades in Autumn 2006. The game, which has been developed by Dragon Ball Z: Budokai creators DIMPS, follows from the events of Saint Seiya: The Sanctuary released in 2005.

Closely following the storyline of the recently created anime, Saint Seiya: The Hades see players attempt the rather daunting task of fending of an impending invasion by Hades and his army 'The Spectors', in other words literally holding closed the gates of hell.

Promising an evolution to the fighting systems of the first title, DIMPS has increased the pace of gameplay with more combo and counter-attacks on large environments , and the special attack Cosmo techniques have also been improved.
