In its recent first half 2004/2005 financial report, Atariās Chief Executive, Bruno Bonnell, has confirmed that the French publisher has recently sold its Civilization franchise, for a capital gain of 15.5 million euros.
The surprising announcement comes as development of Civilization IV continues, however Firaxis have confirmed that the announcement will in no way affect the future of this release.
Exactly whom the franchise has been sold to remains in question, with Bonnell exclaiming that itās up to the purchaser to make that announcement; weāll have more information soon.
