Atari Confirms Test Drive Unlimited PS2/PSP News

The MOOR title is announced for PlayStation2 and PSP just days before E3 2006...


Atari has today confirmed that the Massively Open Online Racer (MOOR) Test Drive Unlimited will be released on PlayStation2 and PSP, in addition to its previously announced launches on Xbox 360 and PC.

Set across one thousand miles of open road on Oahu, Hawaii, the newly announced versions are currently being developed by Atari's Melbourne House Studios, and will feature over 70 supercars together with a majority of the gameplay on offer in the Xbox 360/PC version. The PSP version will also feature an Arcade Mode for quick gameplay, with heavy hints from Atari that the game will also make use of the handheld console's Infrastructure mode.

"Test Drive Unlimited represents the evolution of racing games, and to bring all of this to PS2 and PSP alongside Xbox 360 and PC is an incredible achievement," said Cyril Voiron, Marketing Director, Atari Europe. "For Melbourne House to put the streaming open roads of Oahu with full online play into the hands of PSP gamers is no mean feat. This game, much like the incredible vehicles featured in it, will turn heads."

As with the Xbox 360 and PC versions, expect Test Drive Unlimited on PlayStation2 and PSP to be released during Autumn 2006.
