In Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, players can take on their friends in intense WiFi multiplayer battles employing all the most exhilarating aspects of Dragon Ball Z combat, including counter-attacks, super high-speed bouts, flight and Ki (energy) management. In single player mode players will be able to challenge some of the most evil characters ever seen in a comic-based video game, or to play as the bad guys themselves and become the most feared and powerful warrior in the universe.

Atari Confirm Dragon Ball Z For PSP News

April 2006 release for the PSP debut of the anime fighting franchise...


Atari has today announced that the Bandai developed Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai will be released in April 2006 on PSP. The game, which will feature Wi-Fi multiplayer modes, together with several other gametypes including a Story Mode, is the first title from the Dragon Ball Z franchise to be released on the PSP and will feature 18 characters both good and evil. Shin Budokai will also feature a overhauled Saiyan Fighting system, together with an arena from the Dragon Ball movie, Janemba.

Announcing the development of the game, Cyril Voiron, Marketing Director, Atari Europe, said "Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai is a must have for all fans of the PS2 games and a perfect fit for the WiFi multiplayer capabilities of PSP...With the handheld portability of PSP, for the first time players have unparalleled opportunities for battling with friends any time and any place to become the number one DBZ fighter."
