Atari Attacks Sony News

Atari CEO goes on the warpath regarding the lack of information on the PSP…
Comments from Atariâs CEO Bruno Bonnell in todayâs CNN âGame Overâ column today poured doubt over the pricing of the forthcoming PSP from Sony, with Bonnell claiming that the format could cost as much as $500.
The comments come as a complete opposite to others in the past, with EAâs Larry Probst suggesting that the price is likely to be between $199-$249 back in January.
Bonnell seemed to be on the attack, and claimed that Sony havenât fed enough information to game publishers and developers; suggesting that such issues as durability, connectivity and overall strategies employed to promote games, music and movies on the device have yet to be addressed.
The attack certainly holds some merit as despite wowing everybody at E3 with its technical specifications and a few demos of titles in development, there has been a lack of concrete information on the format, whilst the lack of development kits is currently causing a few development headaches for more then just Bonnell and Atari.
