Assassin's Creed Altaïr's Chronicles is the direct prequel of the critically acclaimed console title Assassin's Creed, where players discover more about the protagonist Altaïr and his deep history. The game features a fully realized 3D world in which players will travel and battle through four cities of the Crusade's Middle East, using acrobatic moves and exhilarating combo attacks that mix sword skills and high-flying kicks.

Packshot reveals the handheld version will be a prequel to Ubisoft Montreal's 2007 title...


Already a best-seller on the consoles, little has been revealed about Assassin's Creed on DS other than that it's coming. However, a packshot of the title has now found its way onto the web via US retailer, GameStop, which reveals the full name as Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles.

The packshot, which made its appearance via a scan on GoNintendo, also states that the action will be set before the historical events of Assassin's Creed, and that the stylus will be used for interrogation and pick-pocketing.

The DS version is yet to secure an official release date, though it hasn't been included in Ubisoft's recent release schedules for the end of the fiscal year. The PC edition of the Xbox 360/PS3 title is due to arrive sometime next month.

it wont work a big game a small screen waynoway, ds good handheld but limited. ok for plumbers
