Eiji Aonuma continues to take charge of Zelda as he looks to the Revolution...
By way of an interview with the Latin-American Official Nintendo magazine, Eiji Aonuma has confirmed his responsibility in taking Zelda to the Revolution. The revelation comes as little surprise given that Aonuma-san has taken an increasing role within the series, producer of both Majoraâs Mask and Wind Waker while leading development on Twilight Princess.
Taking responsibility from the shoulders of Shigeru Miyamoto is hardly novel (more so given his role in designing the Revolution), however exactly what Miyamoto-san is up to beyond presumably ensuring Mario 128 is the true sequel to Mario 64, is anybodyâs guess.
It does however suggest the eagerness of Nintendo to ensure the Revolution launches with a strong catalogue of its true classics, having made previous commitments to the Mario, Super Smash Bros, Metroid and King Kong series.
