Momentum behind UMD Movies continues as six further films pledged to the format…
The UMD movie medium today continued to build up steam, with the announcement that Anchor Bay Entertainment will bring six of its most popular films to the Sony PSP.
Scheduled for release on August 23rd throughout North America, the first batch of release will include Halloween, Evil Dead, Time Bandits, Blood the Last Vampire as well as Manga Entertainmentâs Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll with a suggested retail price of $19.98.
âThe format has done well in its early stages,â commented Ray Gagnon, Sr. Vice President Sales for Anchor Bay Entertainment. âOur demographics match up very nicely with those of the PSP adapter and as such, we are confident our films will be successful on the UMD format. This slate is only the beginning from our company.â
