A million sales recorded in North America alone; Call of Duty 3 can't come soon enough for them…
Activision's Call of Duty 2 has earned another 'Achievement' to go along with Best-selling Xbox 360 launch title, as Infinity Ward's WW2 sequel has recently notched a million sales in North America alone.
Making it the best-selling Xbox 360 title to date, Activision are keen to keep the titles coming, with Call of Duty 3 likely to follow up on the success this Christmas for the Xbox 360, Playstation3 (well for the Americans at least), Nintendo Wii and current-gen systems - though PC gamers will have to find their dose of war titillation somewhere else this yuletide!
"We are proud that Call of Duty 2 is the first title to sell over one million units on the Xbox 360 in the U.S." said Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president, Activision Publishing. "Activision has made a strong commitment to develop leading franchises for the next-generation consoles and we look forward to continuing that successful strategy with our titles launching on Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 and the Wii this fall."
