Activision has delayed the release of the hotly-tipped Spiderman 2 on PSOne this week.
Activision has delayed the release of the hotly-tipped Spiderman 2 on PSOne this week, as it looks to rewrite a level of the game which currently sees the super hero swing through a replica of the World Trade Centre twin towers.
The game was set for release this Friday across Europe and was due to ship to retail today and tomorrow. However, Activision's Euro boss Scott Dodkins has revealed that the stock will be ditched, with a rewritten version now being earmarked for release on October 19th.
"We have decided to rewrite the level which features a building which loosely resembles the twin towers and to delay the release by five weeks," Dodkins told MCV.
"The decision has been made out of respect for the victims and their families. We are an American company and in light of the horror of last week's events, we felt that we had to make these changes."
