Aspiring movie makers challenged to create flicks and walk away with a Chrysler Crossfire...

It seems as though Activision aren't quite ready to give up on Lionhead's The Movies just of yet, as today the US publisher confirmed an all-star cast of judges to adjudicate the Chrysler in The Movies: Virtual Film Competition (CiTM). Icons from the entertainment industry drawn to share their critical eye include Paul W.S Anderson (Resident Evil), David Krumholtz (Numb3rs), Garry Marshall (Raising Helen), Guy Ritchie (Snatch), and Brad Silberling (City of Angels).

Established in conjunction with Chrysler and Activision, the CiTM challenges aspiring movie moguls to submit their finished projects at www.themoviesgame.com/filmcompetition. To be eligible to win, films must be between two to four minutes in length and include any of the current Chrysler vehicles to be found within the game.

The top 10 filmmakers will walk away with CiTM top honours and a Chrysler Crossfire, whilst five of the best films will be chosen to be made into live-action shorts by independent directors participating in the Chrysler Film Project.

"The Chrysler brand stands for innovation and inspiration. These are the same values held by independent film makers," said David Rooney, director, Chrysler brand. "This competition is a great way to support the craft of filmmaking while showcasing our products among a terrific audience."

"Activision is excited to be teamed up with an incredible lineup of talent for the 'Chrysler in The Movies: Virtual Film Competition,'" said Dave Anderson, senior director of business development, Activision, Inc. "The Movies game allows Hollywood hopefuls to showcase their movie making skills and we're eager to get their works of art in front of some of the most prolific names in the entertainment industry."
