The Variety Map Pack is heading to the PlayStation Store very, very shortly...


Following the record-breaking launch of the multiplayer map pack on Xbox Live Marketplace, Activision today confirmed that PS3 owners will be able to get in on the action from April 24th.

That's when the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack arrives on the PlayStation Store in both N America and Europe, which will be celebrated with a Double XP Weekend Extravaganza from 01:01 (BST) on Friday April 25th to 07:59 on Monday April 28th (BST) for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

The Infinity Ward team will be playing online on Friday, April 25 from 19:00 to 22:00 (BST) and from 01:00 to 04:00 (BST).

Because Halo players cant handle the amount of people that have dropped off to play Cod4, i like Halo Just not as much as I like COD4, Killing beasties is ok but...gets a bit....well....dull

The patch added new features as well as important hosting changes. It wasn't just issues, it was making the game better. Maybe the PS3 will get something similar down the line too.

Neither Halo 3 or COD 4 are based on anything true to life at all. Great to see this patch now out though. Hopefully it'll help those sniper rifles especially, because I've found them to be SO hit and miss on that game. Also looking forward to seeing... [ Read full comment... ]
