No Glastonbury this year, well why not attend the Dragon Festival in Cantha...
Not to be outdone by the recent Midsummer Fire Festival taking place across Azeroth, ArenaNet and NCsoft Europe today invited adventurers on the continent of Cantha to the Guild Wars Factions Dragon Festival.
What's described as a "summer festival with all the trimmings", the Dragon Festival was established by the newly crowned Emperor Hanjai to commemorate the survival of the Empire of the Dragon after the destruction wrought by the Jade Wind.
Participants in the Dragon Festival can join in carnival games such as Whack-A-Worm; play new mini-missions and special PvP events; embark on unique quests and collect Asian-flavoured treats such as Red Bean Cakes and Rice Wine. Those who collect enough globes filled with the Jade Wind essence that changed Cantha two hundred years ago, will also be rewarded with ceremonial dragon masks.
The finale of the festival promises to bring surprises that true Canthans won't want to miss.
The Dragon Festival takes place in and around the Shing Jea Monastery from June 30th (07:00 GMT) to July 4th (07:00 GMT), marking an exclusive weekend for Guild Wars Factions players.
