Xbox fanatics discover the appearance of a new DVD drive in recent 360 models...
Members of the underground Xbox community site, Xbox-Scene, today revealed that Microsoft has begun to introduce a new DVD drive in the Xbox 360.
Allegedly introduced to the manufacturing line during last year's Christmas period, the BenQ VAD6038 drive has begun to appear in units with a manufacturing date of November 2006 or later.
The new drive will apparently replace the Toshiba-Samsung and Hitachi-LG drives used in older models, with some suggestions that the new drive runs markedly quieter and allegedly loads a little quicker.
