The news that all Xbox 360 owners want to hear; soon we won't have to stare at another progress bar ever again...
Avid 360 fans of the Xbox Live Marketplace were today dealt some good news, with the claim that background downloading will be available in a dashboard update soon.
In an interview between Shacknews and Microsoft's Scott Henson, the Director of the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) claimed "One of the biggest things is the ability to download things in the background."
The "nip and tuck" update will also tidy up the overall design of the Marketplace, which is slowly beginning to get more cluttered as content begins to trickle onto the online service.
Sadly all we can go on for a time period for the update is "...in the not too distant future"; TVG will have further information soon.
