333MHz PSP Can't Handle Wireless Play News

Extra processing power doesn't come for free as SCEA reveals quid pro quo for the PSP...
Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that the new firmware updates for the PSP, which unlock previously unused processing power of 333MHz rather than the conventional 222MHz, will come at a cost as wireless multiplayer will not be available when the PSP is running at 333MHz.
New games such as God of War: Chains of Olympus, will be utilising the full 333MHz. However, whether developers will have the option to integrate 222Mhz multiplayer modes to games running at the higher speed is unknown.
No official reason has been given for this lack of wireless functionality at 333MHz, although some are suggesting that it may be down to the lacklustre battery life on the PSP. Running the additional processing power while retaining wireless multiplayer (which already significantly shortens PSP battery life) may cause substatntially shortened playing times per charge.
