Nintendo Confirms Japanese Conference News
More on this gameIn a recent report outlining Nintendoâs success in Japan, Reuters has recently confirmed that around 30 Nintendo DS titles will be shown at the forthcoming E3 event.
A comment attributed from Hirokazu Hamamura President Enterbrain Inc â“ a leading Japanese game magazine publisher â“ led to the suggestion, although it should be noted that this wasnât actually quoted but suggested within the original Reuters article.
If this comes off then Nintendo will certainly begin to move the continued doubt that surrounds the platform, and likely heap pressure on Sony and the PSP which is likely to offer far less on display at E3.
Weâll have more information soon.

I once owned a DS lite and spent many hours playing it. I think it is ideal for the younger gaming generation although for me personally the psp is far better. I think in comparrison to the psp the nintendo ds is slightly overpriced.

I play pirated DS ROMs and I don't live in the US - and I know of at least one other person who does. Since Christmas 2006 I also calculate that I have spent approximately £700.00 on games software, £700.00 on hardware and about £200.00 in subs for a popular fantasy-based MMORPG. Hardly justification for illegally downloading games then, but, I would argue, with 6 family members actively gaming and pursuing an interest in some of the latest games technology, we ARE consumers and we do spend a high proportion of our income on games and consoles. And my family is not unique. My justification is that Microsoft would rather users pirated their software than that of their competitors. Although less disingenuously and more likely is the fact that I do it because I can. None of my other consoles are chipped and I buy legal copies of PC games and pay my subs to play online. I'm not naïve and I know Nintendo is a business and needs to make a profit to survive, but even though DS games are generally less expensive in comparison to other formats, they are not available at pocket money prices and, let's be honest, they are aimed primarily at kids. And hey, while I'm at it, I used to tape music in the 1980s - but the music industry is still going strong...
