3.90 Brings Skype To PSP News
Chris Leyton
30/01/2008

Skype functionality arrives on the PSP (Slim and Lite) with today's update...
Skype finally arrives on the PSP Slim and Lite with confirmation that the latest firmware update (3.90) will enable all owners of the sleek and sexy new unit (but not us, *cough* SCEE *cough*) to make and receive free phone calls.
Finally transforming the PSP into the communications device that the handheld always hinted towards, the update brings free calls over the internet to other Skype users, along with paid calls to landlines and mobile phones.
In addition, 3.90 carries the communications charge with the inclusion of a Go!Messenger icon. Although there's little actual significance beyond a link to a website for further information, Go!Messenger brings video and voice chat, along with numerous other features towards the end of February. Fortunately for PSP owners like ourselves Go!Messenger will work (when it's eventually launched) on Big and Bulky PSP like ours.
