Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 sells 2 million units worldwide within two weeks of its US release...

Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 has sold 2 million copies worldwide. The title was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 18th in the US and March 20th in Europe.

A raised sales target for the 2007/08 financial year was simultaneously announced by the French publisher, which now expects a total sales income for the year of £726 million (920m Euros) as opposed to the previously predicted £691 million Euros (875m Euros).

This effectively raises the publisher's Q4 targets from £130 million (165m Euros) to £166 million (210m Euros).

Yves Guillemot, President and CEO of Ubisoft, stated: "As expected, 2008 is off to be a record year for the videogame market and our games have performed remarkably well in this context. Assassin's Creed and our Games For Everyone brands continued their strong performance and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 had a better than expected start. One year after the great success of the first title, the second iteration, which provides another unique multiplayer experience in the much enjoyed Tom Clancy environment, is ranked among the top games on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in almost every country."

Has anyone purchased Grand Theft Auto. Is it living up to all the hype, or should I wait till it is being resold as used and save a few bucks.

Your XP points carry on from your previous username for Auto-rewards. Back to left shoulder for cover. Cant change to COD4 style controls. Graphics actually seem worst than first. Not enough online content to warrant moving away from COD4.
